anyway I still gave her all the carrots and apples and pears she wanted. the vet when he came out said she could stand to lose weight she was getting 1000apps chubby even I could see that. he was not insistent and still said she 1000apps probably will be okay, tho she was borderline obese. anyway I refused to restrict her rations (I know horsepeople when they see their horses gain weight do just that, then they couldn't understand why their horses were 1000apps resistant to exercise and had to be prodded along). well I understand why I have been there done that to diet and exercise and I understood plenty. anyway it was subtle, over 5 year period she slimmed down, all on her own, I did notice over time her appetite shut off she would lose interest in her food and stand around or run up and down the pasture, she felt good I could tell. I never had to prod her to exercise in fact I had to hold her back alot, she wanted to run run run, and she was a very gentle horse well trained that I could put kids on her and she wouldn't buck or runaway.
